Interview with George Vitale (our first virtual fireside chat filmed in Anyland):

George Vitale is an exhibition maker and creative director based in Berlin. His area of focus is the impact of technology and the digital on society through the lens of art and the eyes of the artist.

In 2017 he founded the first VR-based art gallery called "synthesis". Synthesis is an immersive blend of technology and art displayed under one roof, showcasing cutting-edge experiences by new wave artists and visionaries through virtual reality. Pieces are displayed through different media: tangible and traditional art forms intermingle with oculus and Vive headsets. In Synthesis' first two years, the gallery has produced more than ten exhibitions of VR art in Berlin and abroad and participated in several art festivals. In 2020, Synthesis launched its series of online events 'WALKTHROUGHS' which has received public acclaim and viewed more than 8K times worldwide. Dedicated to exhibiting internationally renowned, well-established artists alongside emerging ones, since its inception, Synthesis has garnered considerable attention in the art scene.
